I made these brownies for my brother’s birthday yesterday. I have been making them for years and years and I would definitely recommend trying this recipe because it’s super easy and effective.


2 cups brown sugar

1 ⅓  cups cake flour

½ cup cocoa

1 teaspoon salt

4 eggs

1 cup oil

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  1. Preheat oven to 180 º C
  2. Mix ingredients together with electric beater
  3. Place in greased baking tray (must be about 5cm deep- cake tins usually work.)
  4. Bake for 30 minutes & leave to cool before cutting

(If you’re making a double batch, leave them in for 45 minutes).

For pudding purposes, you can just melt some chocolate and mix it with cream to pour over the brownies. Cut grooves into a strawberry for the top and sprinkle some icing sugar over everything. Nom nom nom.
